Asaf Rolef Ben-Shahar

I have about 14 years of clinical experience in IMT working primarily with individual adults, but also with couples and teenagers. I have gained experience and trained in working with people presenting with trauma, dissociation (including dissociative identity disorder (DID), complex post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),  borderline personality disorder (BPD) and self-harm), eating disorders, psychosexual issues (including sexual and gender identity issues), mood disorders (including phobias, panic attacks and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). I have also worked a lot with people who are searching for relationships, love or meaning in life. I'm happy to work with people who seek therapy as a way of personal and spiritual development. I have worked with extremely diverse populations, and am always happy to meet new people.
Aside from offering IMT-Psychotherapy, I also teach IMT as well as body-psychotherapy at Reidman College in Israel and at the Israeli Centre for Group Coaching.
My clinical training is eclectic, including Neo-Reichian body-psychotherapy (Deep Bodywork) with the Entelia institute, Ericksonian Hypno-psychotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy, Self-Relations Psychotherapy (on going). I have further studied stress-management, I am an accreditated practioner of EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing), working with dissociation and psychosexual issues. My academic training includes a BA and PhD in the application of hypnosis within psychotherapy. I am accredited by and a member of a few professional organisations including UKCP, EABP, GHR and IARPP
